Kup's about right. The problem is I think to get the washer in there, you'd have to do a significant amount of deconstruction to get at that joint. Make sure you keep the broken piece, GB, and I'll look at Primus and figure out what the best fix is.

yet another question what would be the best to fix 2 rubber tieres on a RID ultra mags? Mine seem split in a section. One is the driver side and the other is a small one on the fist part.

this is a tough one... i'd stick a bit of wire into each end, and do some modeling cement in there... i've just replaced my cracked tires in the past, so that's the best i've got.

superglue tends to melt rubbers and brittle plastics. Otherwise its great to have around the house. If you ever want to use glue for old figures or anything, I would suggest some two part epoxy. Its less corrosive, and its hella strong.

Great thread this!

I have two broken guys:

Sinnertwin: animal heads broken off at purple hinge.

Slugslinger: one leg loose in the hip

I'll post some pics after work.

Those little orthodontal rubber bands really any kind if you can tie them work. The friction created between the surfaces of the rubber and limbs really hold them up in poses really well. That's what I used on my Thundercats Jaga figure's leg to make him stand up.

The kind fer braces? I was using them to hold He-Man weapons in their hands, but they seem to degrade REALLY quickly.

I don't know anything about the deterioration of the rubber bands though. Mine are in my action figure so tight that if they are broken they'll still make the leg stationary I guess. I don't move the figure around in play like a kid might. I just display which probably helps the longevity of the bands.

I have to admit that I haven't used the small rubber bands in a Transformers type application so I really can't say for sure that that would work. They certainly have for what I was using them for but Transformers are a completely different animal and have much more movement entailed for their use. You do have a good point about the inevitable breakdown of the rubber bands. *shrugs*

Those clear bands that come in almost every toy package (not the twisties) these days are less visible and less prone to decay.

Don't remember if my last bunch of tf's came with any, but if you buy just one GI Joe, you will get about five or six.

Thank you TT, the rubber bands worked like a charm and Snarls arms now hold the little lizard thingy without sagging. :D

Star Wars TF are also packed with those clear bands. Oddly, the Marvel Crossovers are just encased in two vacuum-fitted plastic chunks, and don't have any more problems than those with 15 twist ties..... *hint, hint, packaging dept....*
