you're all incorrect. there is a switch on his back section. one way allows it to roll freely, like any other toy. engaging the switch and pushing him forward automatically transforms him into bot mode, and reverse transforms him into truck mode. then the switch can be switched and allow free rolling in either mode. they're called autorollers.

thats how they transformed my friend had them along time ago i remember them but not that well. o the memeries lol
