G1 Blitzwing

Post by mickymac »

Hi all. New to the boards and had a question about G1 Blitzwing.

The Blitzy I have transforms neatly, however the turret detaches with a little encouragement. I never had the toy back in the day - I'm not even sure if it got released in Australia. My question is, is the turret supposed to detach or not? It doesn't look like there are any stress marks on the central peg so it doesn't look like it broke off anything, but that doesn't mean that it didn't break at some point.

Hope someone can help me out.

I've never had a new one myself. But I've had like 4 used ones and they all had easily removable turrets.

It is supposed to be detachable. Blitzwing's body has an "oval" kinda peg, which coincides to the "female" on the turret.

I was under the impression that there was a variation, and not all blitzy turrets detached so easily. Or am I thinking of reissues or something newer?

The turret on my Blitzwing comes off easily also. I think its in case you don't want it on while he's in jet mode.

Here! What are your other two wishes?

Unfortunately, I haven't tried a reissue Blitzwing. But probably, a "harder" one, could have to do with the looseness it may have.

Could get two wishes for the price of one, Bumblebee, by wishing for a free, life-size and fully-functional Fortress Maximus.

With a built-in holodeck.

...or am i thinking of a different thread? ;-)
