Shockwave color

What color is Shockwave supposed to be? I thought he was purple, but I recently got one (by surprise) and it's more of a grey color. The cross hair thing is purple, but the rest of him is definately grey.

could it be a KO or maybe a later version of him?
I assume he is the gun and not anything else.

The colors varied a little, he should be purple but when making the plastic they sometimes get a different shade of color, thats what has happened.

The gray colored Shockwave was a Radio Shack special. It's considered a knock-off by some people and they are lowered valued as their purple ToyCo counterparts. I don't have a gray issue yet.

This guy is definately a 'Shackwave'. His trigger is much more...interesting when he's transformed.

Unfortunately here in Northern Ireland there was no Shockwave toy. A great loss in my opinion.
