'Jack, your transition from the flashback of Roulette's death to Sixshot's appearance gave me chills. Well done, my friend.

@ transit:
Thank you. And no, it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere. We haven't really announced it here yet. It's been a little bit of a whirlwind. Don't worry, you didn't miss it.

((You'll have to excuse my not replying sooner. I needed to get that specific 1,000th post in before I did. Imagine if I wasted that milestone replying to this thread? I shudder to think.))

Congratulations Redline and Rattrap. I had thought maybe you guys were gonna wait until everyone had finished school for good before doing that, but I'm excited to hear that things have worked out so well. Next year is going to be such a big wedding year.

transit/STARS, no worries mate. I understand as well as you do that life gets you busy. I've not been able to be around as much as I'd like either. We're just glad you choose to come here and participate in this great story. I rather like the "MINOR SPOILER WARNING" thing you've got going on now.

Why the sudden change of name? I was getting used to you as STARS.

To answer your questions, the BW Megatron thing has been revealed to Time Traveller and any Autobots/Maximals/Decepticons/Predacons clever enough to pick up on the tone of voice and mannerisms that Zarak has been using (in particular the "YEEEEES" he keeps emitting). I was assuming that maybe Rattrap and Dinobot had figured it out.

Everything I've had Sixshot do, he's done in G1, most notably the Japanese Headmasters series. He uses the multiple forms to terrorize the whole world at once and uses his Wingwolf form to kill Ultra Magnus.

Also don't feel you need to kill off your extra characters. Fasttrack, Skywarp, Solder, etc. can be kept around as NPCs at least, just to beef up the Decepticon numbers and give the Autobots some generic guys to scrap when they fight.

I know double post, but since I've not been here for ages I thought it best to announce my return. I apologize for not posting for a couple of months and for the effects this has had on the roleplay and the board in general. I have been lacking in time to visit the online world and more importantly TFL. For some reason I feel like a few months just got away from while I was saying "I'll have time tomorrow..."

Anyway, I'm back and I plan to devote more time to here again.

Welcome back! It's good to see you around, Blackjack. :)
When it comes to posting in the roleplay I feel I have to apologize as well. I haven't been as active as I'd like to have been. Sorry everyone. :(
I should be able to be more active in a somewhat near future though.

It's nice to see familiar faces returning. I've been a bit busy with work and school, but I should be able to devote time once we get back into the swing of things..

So just FYI, I'm trying to get TT to resume posting here just so we can get some Autobots posting again, but I know for a fact that he has a fairly signifcant bit of things to do over the next week (right Minerva, wink, wink?). I don't really have much to say or do until then because really if the Decepticons have no one to fight then what are we? I would've love to have had the Nemesis up and running ages ago but I'm really just waiting on the Autobots to start showing up again. Hope everyone is doing well. I'll be around if anyone needs anything.

Yes, that's right Blackjack *wink-wink*. There's a lot going on this week and I'm afraid I won't be around much.
Hopefully we can get the RP rolling again soon though!

So the nemesis is back online I see. I wonder what our plans are next for the Autobots? Do we return to Cybertron, or do we head to Earth?

TT mentioned to me that he had plans for a short mission to Earth, but I think that came later. For now I think he was heading you guys back to Cybertron to reclaim everything there and take more over since the 'cons have kind of up and left. But in his absense, I'd imagine that someone else would be welcome to move things along. I'm not having Blackjack catch back up with the 'bots for a while. I want to focus on other characters.

I'm not exactly sure how we would make it back to Cybertron.. Are we taking the 'Spite? Or are we gonna take Nighteye?

Added a link to my sig explaining my name change.

Believe it or not, teleporting Skywarp into Sixshot's line of fire was not primarily about reducing the number of characters i have in the game, or about trying to save Blackjack. Yes, i did it to give myself the option of removing Skywarp from the game, and yes, i did it to buy Blackjack some time--even if Blackjack ultimately decided to kill Blackjack off (even temporarily, a la canonical Optimus Prime, among others), i thought it might be possible to add drama to the Blackjack/Sixshot showdown by giving Blackjack a few astroseconds to regroup. Mostly, however, i did it in an attempt to better fit in with the slapstick comedy of our primary RP Decepticons, Dirge and Galvatron. (See also: Anything i've done with Fasttrack.) i Wile E. Coyote'd Skywarp, with Sixshot playing the role of Acme.

At your invitation, though, i have an idea about bringing Skywarp back online...
Sideways wrote:I'm not exactly sure how we would make it back to Cybertron.. Are we taking the 'Spite? Or are we gonna take Nighteye?
i also have an idea about getting Sideways a new ship, along with a few bonus side effects: What if, en route to Cybertron (or Earth, if that's where they're going, although i thought Cambreaker wanted everyone but Blackjack headed for Cybertron), the Ætherspite and Nighteye (i assume both ships are headed home, SIDEWAYS) find several Autobot and Decepticon ships adrift in space? Sideways gets his choice of ships (with other damaged ships nearby for any spare parts he needs and any customization he wants to do), and maybe there are some TFs on board one or more of those ships, if anyone needs to introduce an NPC--or a new PC, if any new players want to join the game. (And who knows? Maybe one of the ships is the one built on Earth by the A-Team.) In addition, why are these ships here, and why are they adrift? Were the Autobots and Decepticons fighting each other, and each side did enough damage to neutralize the other? or were the Autobots and Decepticons perhaps fighting alongside one another, against a Threat To Both Factions...? (Dare you to ask me about my latest Threat To Both Factions idea.)

As ever, i'm not done yet, but i've got to go.

Finding a new ship for Sideways is one of my primary goals. The next one would be to return to Cybertron and my lab and extract Rev from Inode- my virtual reality world. I would need to repair my lab a bit more so I can explain details about Inode and it's purpose for the Autobots assuming that anybody has the guts to step into it..

i'm not making any promises here, because i was getting ready to bring Makeway out of the CR chamber--but now i'm considering the possibility that perhaps he's sustained some sort of damage that the CR chamber can't identify/repair, and maybe Makeway has to--as you say--"step into it" in order to come back online? even though his body unfortunately remains offline while his mind enters Inode.

i did go ahead and set some Autobot and Decepticon ships adrift in space. Maybe the Ætherspite and Nighteye will cross paths with my NPC ships, maybe not. (NOTE: Drumroll is not an NPC! even if i do have too many PCs already.)

i reactivated Skywarp, too.

Request permission to give Thundergun control of the Royal Flush replica before Pinstripe and company get ahold of it. (i MIGHT make Thundergun an NPC... if i can bear to do it.)

More later.

If you feel so inclined to try, go ahead. Inode's nowhere near completion. The issue that we currently have is that the scan/transfer/virtualization process takes up too much energy. Sending Rev blew several of the generators in my lab, which shut most of the lab down. Sideways was attempting to reactivate an expermental energy generator which backfired and blew up, causing him massive damage and left him in a stasis mode. Eventually, a backup generator came online and was able to bring REBA (my supercomputer in charge of the lab's upkeep) back online.

So if you can help me fix my energy issues, then I don't think Inode is a bad idea. I personally would love to visit it myself, but someone who knows how to work the computer has to start the virtualization process. Sideways can do it from inside Inode too, but it's much more difficult and requires him to have direct access to the supercomputer, and he has to be in the core zone to gain access to the secondary control panel..

Okay, Sideways... Makeway knows nothing about REBA, Inode, or Rev, and neither do i. Other players probably know about REBA and Rev, but it sounds to me like Inode is news to everybody. So, how much do you want to explain out of character, and how much do you want to save for explaining only in the game itself? because i don't think i understand even as much as i thought i did, and i don't think i understand enough (yet) to plan on (or plan for) participating in the Inode portion of the RP.

...That sounds ruder than i meant it to, although i'm not sure why, and i have to log out now so unfortunately i can't edit it the way i'd like. Sorry. i guess i'm just trying to say i'm curious, but i don't want to pry spoilers out of you, but i'm not sure i can even consider playing that part of the game without them.

Inode is a virtual world hosted on a supercomputer in my lab. It was designed to be a combat simulator, and to access it, you digitize yourself using a scanner platform that converts you into a digital avatar of yourself. Rev was the first test subject, and he's living there currently. REBA is a program Sideways coded to maintain his lab.

If others were interested - I was thinking we could have training sessions inside Inode to better ourselves as a team.

The Inode supercomputer and the scanner platform(s) are supplied power by several generators. Unfortunatly, these generators are faulty and didn't survive after the first use of the scanner.

Hmm... i don't know if Inode is practical for the Autobots at this point in the RP. The way i see it, for both the Autobots and the Decepticons, top priority is surviving (and hopefully winning) any battles they happen to get into, and second priority is defeating the opposing faction (assuming we don't get a Threat To Both Factions mixed up in here). Inode might be useful in training the Autobots toward that second goal, but i think both factions would feel that training should take a backseat to things like rebuilding their ranks and repairing their bases and ships.

For the Autobots, rebuilding their ranks likely involves helping/retrieving REBA and Rev--and in Rev's case, that may mean getting Inode up and running. (How can he be living in Inode if the generators that run Inode are not operational?) However, Iacon is in such sorry shape that i imagine a fair portion of the meager available Autobot forces would be devoted to repairing Iacon, with only a few Autobots helping Sideways with his lab, REBA, Rev, and Inode.

i won't bring Makeway out of the CR chamber until i decide what he's going to do once he's out--he may help Sideways and company, or he may help get Iacon back in working order... or he may do something else, depending on what other plot points come up.

Of course, all this is meaningless without enough players participating in the game.

Meanwhile, here's something just as meaningless, and yet it amused me to create it and it's long overdue...

MONTHS ago, i was sick, laid up in bed, too feeble to get online... but i had the TFL RP on the brain, and started concocting things that might yield the acronym R.E.B.A. Mix-and-match to your pleasure (and be forewarned that there are some gags included in this list):

Revolutionary Evolution Bodiless Autobot
Reconfigured Electronic Brain Algorithm
Responsive Electronic Brain Access
Radical Elements' Base Administrator
Reprogrammed Enhanced Binary Assistant
Retrofitted Electronics: Binary Aide
Really Effective Binary Access
Rational/Emotional Binary Application
Rational Electronically-Based Assistant
Reasoning Energy-Based Associate
Rarefied Energon-Based Autobot
Rarefied Energon-Boosted Autobot
Robotic Entity's Backup Awareness
Robot's Essential Base Algorithms
Robot Enhanced By Awesomeness
Repair-Enacting Base Ally
Reprogramming Emulator, Basically Autonomous
Research Equipment But Autonomous
Research, Enhancement, & Breakthrough Analysis
Research, Enhancement, & Breakthrough Analyzer
Redundant Empty-Brained Accomplice
Reticulated Emergency Backup Administrator
Reinforced Encryption Base Attendant
Rotating Encryption Buffer Asset
Randomized Encryption Bearing Authorization
Required Encryption By Authority
Requisite Entity Being Activated
Requisition Enabled By Authority
Resident Elite Betterment Aptitude
Rendered Essentially Bodiless Autobot
Random Error Breakdown Averted
Ruthless Eliminator of Bad Algorithms

Note also that some parts of these "names" can be interpreted in several ways. For example, "Enhanced Binary Assistant" could mean an enhanced assistant who exists in the form of binary code, an enhanced assistant who assists with binary code, or an assistant who assists with enhanced binary code, whatever that is. (Maybe it has something to do with binary bonding? Ask Rev.) And if you happen to be a fan of Reba McEntire, you might consider making R.E.B.A. Macintosh. ;-)

When Inode shut down, Rev was saved inside. He doesn't disappear when Inode is shut down. When it's rebooted, he's there again. I would like to get Rev out and make something of my Lab/Factory. Perhaps the factory can be used to produce materials to rebuild ships or Iacon? That would be a value to the Autobots and would give me a reason to have REBA active and overseeing production. Once I devise a way to get more energy to the scanners, I can bring back Rev and shut down Inode for a good portion of the RP until it's decided we want to bring it back. Perhaps it could serve a medical purpose as well?

Just so everyone is aware, Riptide was Dirges best friend during the Nemesis construction. Ultimately, Megatron gave Dirge the order to kill everyone who had worked on building the Nemesis to prevent its secrets from falling into Autobot hands. This included Riptide who, when he realised what was coming, swore to Dirge that he would haunt the Nemesis for all time. Only Dirge and Megatron knew how they had all died, the official report was that a team of Autobots had surprised them and killed them all.
