Transformerland.com/forum "ranks"

Highly irrelevant, but i'm curious. What are the "levels" (i don't know if that's the right word) of membership on the Transformerland.com/forum? (i remember seeing "Guest", "Noob", "Minivehicle", and "Site Admin"--any others?) How do you elevate to the next level? Is it a matter of how many posts you've made? How many posts does it take to "upgrade"?

Anyways, speaking of levels, those names can have custom titles as well, did you enable the ability where members can change their title after a set number of posts? Or is that only on Invision boards?

if anyone ever reaches a supreme # of posts, they can request trance or i give them a custom rank.

Well that's not as fun as being able to have supreme control over your own name. But then again, such is the way of phpbb more than likely.

Speaking of which, have you guys thought of switching to Invision boards? They are much better.

I haven't taken a look at it...are they php-based? I like php because I can understand it, and eventually I will customize it to a more appropriate TF theme. Tell me what you know about it...

Well, Invision Boards are not phpbb, although they are more user friendly I believe. I have a few sites that I am a part of where you can browse if you'd like.

I'm in the process of purchasing Invision Boards for another site I am affiliated with, once I purchase it I will have the programs to off to you, if you ever to decide to switch.

As I've said, I think that Invision Boards are that much better that I'm willing to offer up my own dough to get places to convert. Hmmm. Maybe Invision Boards should hire me for like PR type stuff. What do you guys think?

TRANCE! how do you work images involving phpbb2 root paths? i.e. rank images? how do i know the root path of an image?

I've created the directory 'ranks' in the 'image' subfolder, now all we need are images...what did you have in mind? The standard stars, or something TF-related?

alternator leader is custom. you'll get your own little image adorned with the rx-8 alt as soon as i get these little thingies set up. yes, thingies. yes, technical terms.
