Can't Identify These Guys

Post by Derek-Metalz »

Hi everyone,

Awesome site guys. I've almost cleaned out my bag of unknown figures and weapons. I can't seem to find a match for these guys though.

Any help greatly appreciated.

First picture isn't Transformers. Comments on right show what I have figured out. Second picture is Transformers I'm certain.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Number 19 is a wing off of a 1980's ThunderCats Astral Moat Monster, and quite hard to find. Most people find the figure itself, and from my experience the wings are worth as much or even more than the figure itself.

Number 7 and 13 are also 1980's ThunderCats items, and they are accessories that belong to the action figure Grune the Destroyer. Number 7 is his mace and number 13 is Grune's spiked knuckles.

Number 18 could, and I'm not sure by any stretch of the inagination here, I'm just throwing out a big 'ol guess...... but it might be the back half piece to an automorphing Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger figure. I'm thinking Green Ranger Tommy maybe.

I don't know if they made an automorphing series of Zeo or not.

The little chest piece came off in two pieces so that you could twist the figure's arm, and swtich from the human head to the helmeted one. Once the transformation was complete, you replaced the chestpiece.

The Green Ranger's chestpiece was vacuum metalized gold in color, if that helps any.

Thanks.

Should make some useful trade items then :D

Yeah no.18 is interesting it's a piece I never bought. Just found it in some old personal items. I'd say it was from my little brothers power rangers though. He was mad on them.

Everything else came from random lots over the years.

I think all the Thundercats and Tmnt items are identified now.

I collect MOTU and G1 transformers mostly.

Welcome to TransFormerLand! Thanks for helping me break my latest not-posting streak.

i am highly confident that item 3 in the first picture is one of the weapons that came with the Playmates brand Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure Panda Khan. i suspect item 6 is one of Tokka's weapons from the same toyline.

In the second picture, the guy on the left looks like one of the Battle Beasts (or Beastformers, as they were called when sold in Japan). http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Beastformers
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bluehorse

As for the other two in that picture,
Minerva wrote:That's a robotech robolinks/blockman figure.

i think you should name them Rumble and Frenzy, or stack them and call them Optimus Prime (or maybe Omega Prime, if you liked the anime Robots in Disguise).

So are you just into collecting the toys, or are you a fan of the fiction, too? Comics, cartoons, major motion pictures?

OK lets say I created alternate modes unseen for alpha omega.
These pictures are added to the above Skydrive folder.

Unfortunately I don't have those awesome parts for him .

And thanks for the tip off could be Blockman or Robotech interesting though.

My Guys have the second rows chest pieces but the red guy has red arms not blue.

Why do I collect what I collect.

I guess it's about the memory's I started out just collecting toys I had in my youth but graduated to completing sets. And figures that where beyond my Grasps as a child. People will spend a fortune doing this, but I'm a piece by piece guy. and most of my personal collection comes through trades. and I'm not chasing any ridiculous items on ebay....

Only really just getting started on G! But my passion for these figures runs deeper than just collecting them. I'm still not completely up to date with series blah blah blah. But TF movie is my favorite movie of all time (I'm singing the theme song in my head right now) The Transformers.... hopefully your singing it too.
More than meets the eye.....

I'll add some pics off my collection to the above skydrive aswelll.
Nearly lost all this message so post ends here TBC.

EDIT: And You've totally tipped me off to the wood-fire-water dudes.

I remember them from my youth but unfortunately this guys chest piece is not working. I think if he or she had thrown me one off those symbols it would not be in the unknowns pile I would have picked that up. Also there is no picture on that site. If you're in with them and they need one. or we need one here would be happy to provide.

No problem. :) I'm not sure who/what the scuba gear belongs to though.
But;
16 - ankle for Techno Zoids Battlesaurus
22 kind of looks like GI Joe SHARC gun hatch, but I can't say for sure.

Thanks Again.

#16 is spot on

#22 It's a bit hard to see from my picture. But it's actually a Battery cover. Has Terminal plate on the back I'd say for two double A's Battery's. And has Open with a small arrow pointing down marked on the top.

Strange not sure whats going on there.
As you click on the bottom ones they will scroll along
When you hover over picture should have + magnifying Glass
That will full screen them.
There's arrows to the left and right of the picture to move to the next one also. Might be something with whatever browser you use.

Here's links to each picture on its own might help

I can't seem to embed photos from that site or I would.
Might need to bite the bullet and get a Photo Bucket Account.

Hope it helps. These links still loads into the album though.
But Hopefully this is Interesting.

Bottom two from that first picture are: G.I. Joe SHARC TOOTH and the bridge the the G.I. Joe Bridgelayer that came with driver Tollbooth. I want to say I spotted a swamp skier that goes with Dreadnok Zartan in another pic, but I'm not sure.

Love your work RoadBuster

G.I. Joe SHARC TOOTH: Looks like I have the Gun covers and a missile from that one as well. The ship is pretty beat up though.

G.I. Joe Bridgelayer: I also have the part that connects to the tank but it's broken.

Dreadnok Zartan : I think your right. It wasn't assembled and I made my best effort. Only by thinking the parts obviously went together.
There is some parts there I don't have. But the little box trailer thing is in the pictures as well.

*Derek Removes Items from Unknown Box

I'm guessing a bit of this stuff might be Gi Joe I thought the helicopter landing gear might be from something.

One thing I'm really interested to find out what it is in the second pic top right. White and blue with symbol like flying eagle on the front.
You put battery's in it and lights flash and uber retro sounds come out.

* There's a sail there from a Joe windsurfer and another small piece that goes with it.

I'm sure some of those big red bits look like A navy base play set from that range too.
But Hopefully this is Interesting.

The white piece in that first picture is the floor to a vintage star wars millenium falcon playset.

In the first picture, the blue castle looking part and the red ladder is from a ThunderCats Cat's Lair, in the second, the red gun top left is from the Cat's Lair playset too, I think it could be part of the Mutant attack vehicle, but it is definitely a Cat's Lair part. I don't know, but I think the other red pieces in the same picture could be from the Cat's Lair too. The ridged piece is the floor that the ladder connects to.

http://www.thundercatslair.org/toys-mai ... cats-lair/

In another picture, there is a bandolier strap that is black and yellow with spikes on it, that is a ThunderCats figure accessory from the character Jackalman.

Thanks Roar

So that Jackalman belt part is supposed to have that rip in it?
Or is that just a common flaw in them.

I'll check into those red bits a bit more.

* I can't really make any more of them out to be parts of The lair.

I'll redo some of these photos to show the items closer

*also found I've got a go-bots Command Center Re-Fuel Hose in there too

I have these two dino bot looking guys They Transform to robot mode.
