Lesson 2a. optional stand ins.

As we may not get deluxe-voyager sized versions of scrapper, hightower or overload I have been wondering just how to fill these gaps until we actually get figures of those constructicons. Here is a stop gap solution:-

Requirements:
The outcom of lesson 1
Cybertron landmine {Or one of his recolors}

Step 1:-
Take landmine and transform him from his vehicle mode into this configuration:-

Step 2:-
Just slide Landmines rear wheels over Demolishers arm:-

Step 3:- (Optional)
If we do not get a ROTF scrapper figure Landmine can be attached to the devastator more securely if you take a plastic offcut (Or anything that fits nicely) and glue it into the inside of the rear wheels so that it slots into the recesses on Demolishers arm.

Next up will either be one of the other stand in figures or how to make Mixmaster affix to Demolisher and how you give him devastators face.

Lesson 2b - Getting the body right

Before you start you will need:-
Outcome of lesson 2a. {Including the optional step}
RID heavy load {Or hightower, they've the same body type}
ROTF mixmaster
1 flat piece of plastic
Assorted parts. {Mentioned during the lesson}

Step 1
Transform heavy load as shown:-
Image
Unscrew the part circled in red and flip it over so that the hole in the part is facing downwards.

step 2:-
Add a minicon port where the red circle is
Image
Heavy load should then tab on like so:-

step 4:-
Image
For mixmaster we will be using the tab and hole that are circled. Find some parts one of which tabs into the gun and the other that allows the square tab to tab into it.

Step 5:-
Add the part that tabs into the gun of mixmaster onto demolisher as shown. {Yours does not have to be the same part}
Image

step 6:-
Add your part that tabs into the square tab underneath mixmaster onto a flat piece of plastic.
Image
Slide this underneath demolishers tracks:-

step 7:-
Tab mixmaster onto the combiner:-

It should now look like this:-

End of lesson.

The next lesson will be solely on the construction of the combiner head. It will be made so that it tabs into these holes:-

That reside underneath mixmasters cab.

Just saw this thread, ahaha, this is great, Dez! I can't wait to see how this turns out. Maybe I won't have to buy the giftset AND individual bots after all, lol :)

While looking through the customs thread, I saw a head you made for an Omega Supreme project.

That face is very close to the movie Dev face.

Is that piece still around, and would it work for this project?

Its too small unfortunately.

I should hopefully have a displayable head by the end of the weekend. {I've nothing else to do and almost have the on paper designs for it done so I'll post how to make a decentish head for him made once I'm done.}

{this needs a lot more work done and to be painted (the head piece that is) before you see my vision for this guy fulfilled.}
