Nice job, Rumble! I think I prefer that paint scheme to the original. :)

Indeed it is based upon an old and dirty Yale truck for all it's sins.

Your detailed paints bring out the detail in that cast. Great work!

So here we go once again with yet another project. I started last Monday putting in about an hour on and off each night and had it finished by Friday which I think makes it the quickest custom I have finished. Made from a Robot Heroes Starscream given to me by C.M I present:

Robot Heros Sunstorm!

Originally I intended to make him into a Thundercracker but since you can get one in a set alongside Jazz (I think) I decided to do Sunny.

Now onto the next project :lol!:

Thanks one and all.

The paints I used was the same acryllic Games Workshop paints that I use fo rmost things due to how easy to use they are. I didn't prime it or undercoat it with anything, just gave it a good wash under running cold water to get all the 'Package Fresh' grease/oil that seems to be all over them off.

Next project is well underway and will be revealed soon....

And here it is!

Classics Seaspray is Finished!

Here's the base figure next to the G1 Seaspray.

No work in progress pics I am afraid, but it means you can see the finished product without any delay!

So there you have it, a Seaspray that will fit in with the classics and that has 2 legs. I would have had him done even sooner but the yellow I used originally became very pale after drying for about a week, so It just had to be re-done in a different brand (which was a lot better IMO). Any feedback is appreciated.

Using a Cybertron Shortround to make Seaspray was a very good idea. Nice job, he looks very cool! :D

That is an awesome Seaspray, right there!. I am sure that you saw my review of G1 Seaspray, awhile back, regarding the leg issue....

I would pay full retail if Hasbro put out that repaint in the Universe line.

(Of course, if they did it, the paint apps would probably be nowhere near as crisp. ;) )

Thanks for the positives, it makes the whole process more worthwhile. :D

@ Minerva: Thanks, but not all the credit for the idea can go to me. Both Kup and I came up with the idea after bashing Seaspray for being so poor as a figure as well as in the G1 toon.

@ UM: If I hadn't read your review before I have now. I think his leg issue, along with his voice, hurt his popularity far too much. Heres hoping this is his long road to recovery

I like it, and I'm with Magnus on this one... I'd buy one! I also like that you added some detail around the roof fans, it brings a rather plain-colored G1 design up to a more modern level of detail. The head sculpt looks pretty dandy too.
