the car mode is in that pic, you have to click it though as this site has cut it off.

So Desz, I saw the WH40K model that Max Prime's alt is based on... which is totally an homage to the british WWI tank i was thinking of. It seems a lot of the WH40K tanks are WWI inspired, and some of the planes are definitely insipred by WWII planes... Including that black forward-wing job you posted as LV, and the Autobot fighter I saw in your character Bios.

Is Rakx related to Racer X's Shooting Star from Speed Racer?

Well Maximus prime is based on a customised WH40k space marine land raider that I do have here. Lord Vulcan is also based on a WH40k figure [a marauder destroyer to be exact.]

There are a few others with roots in the many WH40k vehicles present in my dark future universe character bios [Earthshaker, Starshot, Warhound, Master Leo, Vanquisher, Megatron, Ryza, Quadraxis, Acheron, Manticore, Black Legion dark annihilator units, Storm Hawk etc] as well as many whom are based on zoids [Koralkal, Drako and Zenebas for instance] purely for the reason that I like the way they look.

Well seeing as I have never ever heard of or seen anything called speed racer any similarities are pure coincidence. (Rakx is based off TF armarda blurr. I made a custom figure of him a while back.)

I think seeing these in the beginnings of an environment gives them a better feel...
I am liking the almost cell shaded/toy look you have going
you have a unique style... at first I wasn't sure on the simple textures you had going but it's growing on me.

love the shadow behind Prime there... looks menacing!

also when I made the statement about Rakx the pic I saw was a model A-10 warthog.

Well some things may get added and or taken away during the process of animating my fan fic universe. {Rakx for example lost his A10 warthog mode but gained a flying car mode and a sword [he previously only had a gun]}

More changes and or alterations will probably take place with some characters if I feel they are required.

Here's Dark future Grimlock's 3d model [weapons are still being constructed]

Project wise. I need to construct 3 more 3D models and two more environments, then I'll go looking for additional VA support.

It's a little stiff still buy it's a great start! Next test, since he appears to be walking with not much intent, you should cross his arms or put em behind his back or something so they aren't just hanging there. Or grab your camera and see what your arms do when you stroll. I figure the overall look of walking isn't where you are just yet. I can't wait to see what it looks like in finished back grounds! I have been reading your stuff and it's pretty good the characters have real personalities that seem to be growing as I read.

Soon [Probably tomorrow] I shall have some more animation tests up. (showing Lord Vulcan and the ship he calls home in motion.)

As a teaser here are the WIP shots of the interior of the Decepticon super craft the Claw.

WIP Bridge {there are computer monitors all the way round the room (which is circular) You'll see how it all works when I'm done with my Lord Vulcan animation test. As I will be using this environment with his 3D model.}

Generic hallway inside claw - WIP

(Cues on the interior design of the Claw have been taken from Lord Vulcan's 3D model to tie the two together style wise. the lighting for all of the decepticon base will be very dark and purple in tint, as this will contrast nicely to the heavily lit autobot base interior)

dark is good. but too bark and you lose details.. I would throw in some gunmetal grey or charcoal. I like the black on purple. but I just kind of get a black screen with purple splotches! lol

Hey Dezy - What software are you using? I'm a 3D animator by trade and may be able to help you out. ;-)
