Optimus Prime re issues

this may have been covered before bit i remember reading somewhere that the optimus prime with the grey card over the foam insert was a fake version of "KO". Is this True? ive seen a lot of these on arsebay and some of them are priced very high. there is one right now that is graded 75 going for over 900 bucks. i asked a guy with one if it was an original and he said yes and i mentioned the grey card thing to him.
