I am really pleased with the Classics/Universe/ Generations figures.

I don't care much for the War for Cybertron figures though. I might pick up the Bumblebee and Soundwave and display them along with my War Within Titaniums. I read that Soundwave has a hidden mode that looks like a futuristic radio. HOW COOL IS THAT!

I am really excited about that Wreck-Gar figure!! Though I never did understand why robots have "facial hair/paint"

I saw pics of his hidden/unofficial third mode. I think its great.

I haven't seen a 'real' universe Soundwave. The reissues don't count. I ordered (twice) Generations Soundwave to go w/ my Classics/Universe/Generations figures but each time I ordered it he was out of stock and my order was cancelled. I haven't seen him in stores either. I know he is out by now, but I usually only see OP, BB, and on great occasion Thrust.

i would think we both go to the same stores.

I'm going to be doing a little bit of shopping this weekend. If I see a Soundwave, I'll send you a PM.

Anyone else see the price for preordering the deluxe 2011 Generations figures? I was looking into it to make sure I got mine and man was I surprised.

BBTS had them for $32. I thought that was kinda steep for deluxe. I would understand $15-20 for convenience sake, but $32 really bites.

In my future, preordering is not.

Correction, Transformers United (Takara's version of Generations) is listed at preorder for $31.99 for deluxe and $49.99 for voyager. Seems high for most of the figs.

And there you have it.

Personally, I still have the mindset that Deluxes should be $10.

but he's my favorite G1 car (next to Wheejack)

I can see me buying a china direct wheeljack too.

Wheeljack was a favorite toy of mine for a long time, and I could connect with the mad-scientist type character in the cartoon. However, Dr. Smoov really cemented Wheeljack as one of my all-time favorites!

From what I've seen on the new Generations Wheeljack and Tracks figures, they look too.... blocky. But I'm gonna get them anyway.
The Generations Scourge looks nothing like his G1 figure.
If they would make him more in the style of G1, people like me would buy armies of them. The Generations Wreck-Gar looks very promising.
I also like the Generations Kup that will be coming out. Generations Perceptor is a truck?! Well, that's fine with me. He was a truck in the Animated cartoon also. How about Trailbreaker and Hoist and Skids?

I second that motion. 8) With Universe Galvatron and Cyclonus at his side and Unicron looming in the background.

I got 2 titanium Scourge's for that visual aspect.
I use G1 and both Tit Scourge's
And since there were 2 Cyclonus' in the movie, I use my G1 and Classics.

Imagine the possibilities if Hasbro made a Generations Scourge that looked more close to the G1. HOPEFULLY they read this post and cancel their "plans" for the new Scourge and stick to the old style.

Keep dreaming! I suspect they went to an "updated" style simply because they already had something much closer to G1 with the Titanium 6". Besides, the G1 toy did turn into a flying brick thing.

I only own that Cybertronian Optimus, but I have to say he's flat-out amazing. I can't believe how much articulation and detail they packed into a deluxe-class toy.

now that I am finally finished with the first 3 waves I have to say that I like them all. the least favorite being red alert.
mostly because he's too much like sideswipe.

and right now Darkmount cough straxus cough cough.
is my favorite.

Megatron is so very dynamic looking posed. love the hands.
and Drift is wicked stable. car mode is meh. but his robot mode owns.

liking soundwave less than I figured. but he is still pretty great

can't wait for blurr and Dirge now.

I'll agree with you except on Red Alert. Do you happen to own a G1 Red Alert and Sideswipe? Staying true to the original... just a recolor ;)

I don't actually own both of the G1s for the same reason but at 9 bucks...
sideswipe will always be greater to me than RA because a lambo fire vehicle is kind of silly.
I do LOVE the ice blue light piping.
and I will buy another who will become Breakdown. 8)

I love them and I am hooked! I grabbed Thrust and Drift yesterday then had to grab Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Darkmount today. Darkmount is my favorite at the moment followed by Drift.
