what transformer is this?

Post by audionmotionink »

i bought a "lot" of g1 figures this past february. i recently came across this and remembered it was part of the stash i bought. looking over it i saw nothing but "takara" and a date stamped on it. i am wondering who and what toy line this figure is from.

thanks.

wow really cool parts-former you got there.
I would almost bet money it's not a transformer.

As Minerva said, it's a Takara Blockman. They combine like Lego parts. Released in 1985, couldn't make it to Transformers. I have never seen one with those extra parts, awesome!

Takara's Diaclone and Microman were the precursors to Transformers; maybe Blockman was the precursor to Built To Rule? ;-)

And this "robotech robolinks" Minerva mentioned is like the Blockman counterpart to G1 toy Jetfire.

Neat stuff, audionmotionink. Hey, are any of those hollow posts Mini-Con compatible?
