land fill question

just purchased the walmart land fill. am having trouble combining the 4 elements to make the combined figure (either robots 1,2 or 3). specifically, am having trouble with the top element (for the upper body and/or arms) connecting with the structure where the top of the legs connect. any tricks or suggestions?
