So I just got myself a nice Omega supreme.
His Lights Rolling and walking action where not working.
Not even an awful grinding sound. Was completely dead.
So I Figured I'd pull him apart and fix him.
Which was a complete success aside from one small part.
His light now works he rolls and turret turns he walks in robot mode.
I think it was just a connection problem with the terminals.
I also made sure the gears where sitting as they should be.
I put part of him back together and tested with battery's and he worked.
I then had to pull him apart again to put him back together properly.
When I did this a chunky piece of metal feel out.
Didn't notice this piece first time around and tried forever to get it to fit back in. But the case wouldn't close properly one end would sit right and the other would pop up.
After some frustration I decided to test it without the piece and it works.
So I'm just wondering if any one knows if this part was supposed to be there or did it just fall from thin air to trick me.
Anyone who has repaired one of this figures will hopefully know what I'm talking about.

Thanks Again very helpful info.
The funny thing was that first time I pulled him apart like I said before.
Just checked everything all the connections. Sussed out how all the gears worked. Thought I'd test it out and to save time didn't put the tracks back in just put the cover back on. He was then working.
But when I pulled him apart again to put the tracks on that bit feel out. What had me confused though was the fact the white cover was back in place. I thought is must have been on the other cover amazingly the bit matches up well if you sit it under the terminals.
But like I said the damn case wouldn't close.
On another note though I do think this part helps him walk a little better in robot mode. without it he was nearly walking on the spot. Now his steps seem to have just a little bit more grip.
He's my new favorite piece in my G1 Collection though.
I only need to track down a small shield for him.
He hasn't had stickers applied either so wouldn't mind getting them. Maybe Instructions as well. I picked him up for a steal as well that always make it that much sweeter.
He's like the son I never had.
It's a Boy.
