Alternators retcon idea
Alternators Swerve should have been called Road Rage, and Alternators Rollbar should have been called Swerve (or maybe Leyland/G2 Swindle).
One shall stand; one shall fall; and the one who stands shall help the one who falls to stand once again.

I agree with your first point, but they went and put a Swerve-ish head on him. Alternators Rollbar should have been black and called Trailbreaker (or Trailcutter, as it were).
