the 'Cool Unicron Pose' thread

Post by trance »

Ok, so we know that Unicron was one of the most bad-ass Transformers released in a long time. Yet for such an articulated figure, I see too many boxey poses for him (e.g. Hasbro's site). I wanna see some poses that take advantage of his articulation!

Post your cool unicron pose pics here, I'll start :)

That's pretty cool...where's that sword come from? You bastard!! I've been calling my local TRU day in day out waiting for that frikkin thing...I dont wanna pay $80+ to get him now over the internet because I know the second I do, he'll become like Unicron--overstocked everywhere and on the discount rack. BTW, how much is TRU asking for him anyways?

And do you mind snapping a couple clear shots of him--one in robot mode and one in vehicle mode so I can pop him on my alternators page? You can see the page to get an idea of how I combine the images:

the sword is a enameled copper letter opener my mom bought at a garage sale for 50 cents, because it looked like a sword.
that was fun. I got prime at Walmart. TRU is 100 miles from here. besides, they overprice stuff anyway. walmart was $63.50 + tax. there was one left after mine. sure, i'll snap a couple, if you give me that dead end you took a picure of.
did you get my last email?

Hehehe, those are awesome...now I gotta put up a creative one
I wish I had the PVC Grimlock so I can do the 'me Grimlock kick butt!' pose

Time: I'll be responding to your email tomorrow, busy week at the lab again :(
Thanks for the offer on the Prime, but I actually found someone selling them for $55 shipped on eBay, so I just grabbed one. Unfortuantely he don't take paypal so it'll be 2 weeks or so before I see him :(
I can't wait, he looks so kick-ass!

Yo Time! All your cool images are broken (as of 3/21/04 about 10am eastern time). What happened :?:
How about blowing up an image of the Minicon Grindor?
Oh yeah, good idea :!: Why didn't I think of that? I'll have to work on that after I get back from lab

The only thing is the beauty of 3D models is you can rotate them exactly how you need them, I think I'll need about 10 angles of Grindor to make sure it looks right...

i don't know what was up with that, i was on at lunch when i noticed it. being at school, i couldn't do much, but they worked again later, so it must've just been the hosting server.

The Unicron is not good enough.

Post by megaprime »

We all feel sad because Unicron wasn't designed and produced with the G1 toy line years ago. Now the huge toy of Unicron finally got mass-produced. Personally, I think the transformation of the toy is incredible, but everything else, the design, the look, the colour, or the material is just disappointing. If Hasbro keeps doing their lousy job, as Transformers fans, we will be hurt even more.
G1 Transformers,
the incredible creatures,
nothing else can be better,
WE LOVE THEM FOR EVER.
