I was 3 when it came out. Like cliffjumper, I too caught the re-runs. Then in high school I caught Beast Wars in entirety. I think thats why its one of my all time favs.

'84 huh..... hmm I was, well that would make my DAD and MOM 14 years old at the time (they were the 17 year olds with a kid in high school ).

But if you want to know something even funnier, my dad watched the show too.

Anyway I was born in 87, I caught the rerun series, I remember watching the show on Saturday mornings at the babysitters and I stole a couple toys from my cousin ( a theif at age 4, yes indeed, anything for an Astrotrain. He still reminds me of that ). And then beast wars came out when I was in 5th grade I believe and i was HOOKED

It was September 1984 when the first episode of G1 aired.

The comics and the toys were on the shelfs for a few months before.

I was 7 when they came out in '84. I had a bunch of them. Did what alot of people do and donated them to less fortunate kids I knew, when I felt like I was too old for toys. Got into girls! Now I'm paying out the whazoo to get 'em all back.
