When time began...

Who was more than 5 years old or knows someone that was when transformers first began???
I'm not as knowledgable as some of you, it'd be nice to hear from some people that can actually remember!
Cheers

Iwas was in fourth grade, and 10 years old.

The show had all of the boys talking, and everyone was trying to be the first on the block to get them all.

Far over the Misty Mountains cold, To dungeons deep and caverns old. The pines were roaring on the height, The winds were moaning in the night, The fire was red, it flaming spread, The trees like torches blazed with light.

I was 4 when the series started, but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to watch it until my parents got a vcr and a couple of Transformers videotapes... I think it must have been in the late 80's or something. (I still kinda miss the Swedish dub... it brings back memories :) )
As far as I know TF was never aired by Swedish television, but I think Cartoon Network had some Cybertron episodes not too long ago.

Well, if the series started in the fall I was 12. I stink at math so its 11 or 12 for me when the series started. But between then and now I still think its pretty hot stuff!

I would've been a year old, but I was far more interested in Masters of the Universe and Rainbow Brite as a kid. I didn't get into Transformers until about two years ago, for which you can thank Rodimus and the Commander...

There was a five part mini series (More Than Meets The Eye) that aired first in the spring, then in the fall, there was the full series.

GI Joe did the same thing in 1983.

I was seven, not as old as some but older than others. There was an explosion of toys, comics, books, cartoons all at once!! Ah, sweet memories.
