Why did G2 transformers not have its own proper cartoon, all other series I can think of did, all they had was a slight change in transitions and opening sequence, any particular reason

Simply put it wasn't in big enough demand to warrant a cartoon. They already had the G1 cartoon so ran with that instead.

I think thats a shame, they could probably of made a good cartoon out of it although atleast they made a comic

Yeah they did a short lived comic series with a few crossovers with GI Joe. I think some of the G2 guys did make it into the Japanese cartoons(I might be wrong here) I remember seeing them in the opening credits to one of the cartoons. But no they didn't get there own series. I think by that time there wasn't enough demand....G1 was still going strong.

yep some of the G2 guys did appear in beast wars II in japan.

There are quite a few TF toylines that did not have a cartoon to go along with it.
