Cybertron Ultimate Collection DVD

Post by Bumblebee »

Just got the boxed set and am actually impressed with the storyline and how they tie every episode in im on Disk 6 out of 8 (ok had nothing better to do for a few days)

My Question what does everyone else think of it? Also I noticed so far atleast 2 big nods to G1 and Im sure I missed a few.

I like the underlying stuff. but the english voice actors are horrendous.

I do like the japanese Galaxy force version but not the english cybertyron version. [purely for the voice reasons.]

Well for a novice who has only watched G-1 and the live action movie what is special about the Cybertron series? What is the plot of the show?

Is this the one with all the kids in it or the one where the robots have to have keys?

Basically its pickes up after they distroyed unicron and there is a black hole eating the universe and there going to wake up primus with the omega lock and planet keys from 4 different planets. there are a lot of G1 nods in it and through the most part i think its a must check out due to a good story line.

If you're gonna watch Cybertron, make sure you watch Armada and Energon before hand, as Cybertron is the third series in the Unicron trilogy.

There is a continuity rebooting black hole present, so you'd probably not miss too much by not watching the first two series.

Well it was intended to be a stand alone series [well in japan it was anyway]. Hasbro just loosely tied it to energon from some reason.

Well I unfortunalty have been laid off of work for a few weeks, and I decided that I am going to need some new entertainment to keep me busy. And so I went out and bought the Cybertron DVD set.

My mini con says that it is his favorite Transformers series

I have never watched a full episode of Cybertron before.

We got home and i watched the 1st out of 7 discs

I was amazed!!
It's a great cartoon

The only thing that worries me is now I feel I might get the urge to buy every Transformer figure from this series!!
