I don't think so, but he's one of those comic characters that we're never gonna get,

I have studied the comics for over twenty years and not once have I seen him!! Nor do I recall him being in the cartoon either. My guess its an elaborate hoax.

Its from the Transformers Legends anthology, which is more of a collection of short stories then a comic. Paddles replaces Sludge basically in the continuity, he and Snarl fight Raze, some sort of bizarre cross between Soundwave and Rumble or Frenzy. There's no artwork with the story, and the only reason Paddles has a picture is cause he's on the cover.

I am going to have to read a lot more than the G1 comics to understand this world of transformers. Anyone got any good suggestions ?

This is why they need more pictures of Paddles. So you can see it wiggling its stubbly little flippers on land in a vain attempt to move. Paddles' servos are most definitely marinated in sorrow, and therefore delicious *gestures*.
