I thinking of attending my first Botcon Convention this year and taking my 13 yr. old son with me. But first all I learn there are NO direct flights into Pasadena and you must fly into the closet airport which is in Burbank. I am planning to fly down on Thursday, May 28th and then fly back home on Sat., May 30th after the show closes down at 5pm. Can't afford to stay the extra day either.

The most frustrating part has been trying to book airline tickets that don't have alot of stops! :x I have looked various travel sites and most aren't bad getting to Burbank, it's getting back home that's CRAZY!!!
One stop between flights is over 7 hrs. wait time!!! WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THIS???? :?

Booking airline tickets seem to be generally frustrating... I'm not going to Botcon, but I have the same problem. Unfortunately it's nothing I can do much about.
Are there any other ways to get back, that aren't too inconvenient?

Pasadena? Great! Now to see if I can finagle the gf into "driving to see her family" with our upcoming 2-3 month old. *Might* work. Only a 16 hour drive or so. The swag should pay for much of the trip.
