A massive transformer that seperates and transforms (like G1 Omega Supreme) into a fleet of Starfleet starships and their crew and a starbase. Beat that.

Way out of my league in geekery (couldn't not hate Trek until sometime late 90's anyway, too calm and intellectual when I wasn't).

Early internet sessions were spent at BW/TF sites. No crossovers were involved. Given the coolness and utter geekery of what TT managed I almost regret that.

Transforming paper transformers; very cool idea no matter how bad they were in reality. Not sure why but I made lego robots that weren't transformers, just generic robots.

Rerailing the thread, with enough training I'd plausibly make a reasonable starship captain but I'd like and prefer being a transformer of non command rank. Pulling unusual, effective solutions out of thin air is something I can do but not enough to want a profession where lives rely on it. Don't want that amount of responsibility and regulations either. Seconding what Rhymus said, it goes for any kind of leader, fleshling or robot.

The question didn't specify Trek captain affiliation or species. Federation would be different from the others then you have unaffiliated civillan or merchant captains, and those for the defense forces of certain races/species, etc. Would also dictate what you were dealing with in command structure, characteristics/culture, and enemies.
