So as some of you may or may not know, video game developer High Moon studios is working on a brand new Transformers video game (PS3, 360, Wii, DS confirmed, probably PC too), which takes place during the Autobot-Decepticon Civil War on Cybertron! The developers have announced that many of the original G1 voice actors will reprise their roles.

I dont know what "universe" the game fits into, but Hasbro has confirmed that the game is canon for some branch of Transformers fiction. It may be G1, but others have speculated that it's canon for the new cartoon that's coming out...in any case it looks good.

I've never purchased or played any of the Transformer games (even though i have ps/ps2/ps3) but this will likely be my first.

I've purchased every Transformers game besides Tataki. And I wanted that one really, really bad. I just didn't want to through the trouble of modding my PS2 over, that and the crappy reviews made me think twice about getting it. But I think this is going to be the G1 game that everyone's been waiting 25 yrs for. Especially if it runs off the Gears of War gameplay engine as it is rumored. Hopefully that was actual gameplay in that trailer we seen and not cut-scenes pieced together.

doubt that is actual game play but it looks hot for sure.

I don't think it's actual game play either, but it does look very cool.

I just got the latest Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine. They have a great two page article talking about the War For Cybertron. There is one VERY INTERESTING comment made by the TCC interviewer. See if this comment means the same to you as I took it. If it is true, this could be a very awesome cartoon series!

Quoting it word for word the first part of it: "Since the new cartoon and toyline are the inspiration for the video game..."

I don't get megatrons vehicle mode though, or his arms in robot mode. Not my favorite design for him.

They both look pretty cool, mainly in robot mode. Optimus's alt mode reminds me of titanium war within Optimus Prime, but I don't care much for Megatron's alt mode.

I think Megs' alt mode looks like a Hover Tank from the Robotech Masters/Southern Cross series. Does he have a gerwalk mode?

If anything I want that bumblebee for the Alt. Mode and his pistol he comes with. Him and Prime are the only two I want outta the 3 figures we've seen.
