TT you were asking what I bought,
This is my new toy lotus exige s, a really nice drive as long as not in traffic, then your reminded how small they are . still prefer the sti, so exige is more of a garage wench, and the sti remains the daily driver.
A friend sent me this to remind me not to get too lead foot when travling in NSW(state of Aust)

just make sure that your boots aint made out of lead
Personally i really cant see the point of having a fancy car
yeah ok they can go fast but thats about it
they cost twice as much as a standard car
they are twice as costly to repair
they aint got any kind of power and by that i mean real power as in pulling power, these cars couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding
yeah i know that tractors are slow on the road but i can pull 30 tonnes of deadweight up the road and i can go anywhere, be it road, pasture meadow, moorland i can even cross rivers without using a bridge
thats my opinion anyway

rumble I'm a good 6ft 4 and can still fit quite comfortably.
Agreed dirge they do cost more to maintain more to run . My poor skid steer bobcat can pull more weight than any of my cars be it all of 5 Tonne and it would be lucky to do more than 15Kph. But I used it to build all the fire trails and almost all of the dams on my property. I say almost as my poor $800 at auction backhoe done some of them until I could not wrap any more tape arround the hydrolic lines to stop 'em leaking.
When the site for my sheds needed to be cleared did have to be call one of my neighbours out they have 2 huge CAT dozers (1/2 a mill each those monsters cost ). Watching them drop some huge trees with 1 inch diameter chainlink was quite impressive . Only took them a couple of hours of clear a full acre of scrub.

@Hound: For an Esprit I would saw my feet off.
@Cyclone: 6' 4" eh? Good to know, 6' 3" here. Maybe there is hope!
@Dirge: Cars are the most illogical thing in my life. A halftrack would be nice.

the hardest hydraulic pipes to replace are those on a self propelled forager they can be 8 inch diameter and the longest that i have seen was 20 feet long and it took 5 minutes to replace it.
lets face it its only one nut each end to remove and if it winds around anything i just tie a long length of string to one end and pull the pipe out leaving the string then tie one end of the string to the new pipe and pull the string out leaving the pipe in place then just fasten both ends and bobz your auntie
