Hello all, any advice on an abnormal Jazz robot replica pack

First off, this site is terrific. I'm 32 and grew up with transformers and all of your peoples collections just make me weep! So awesome! Anyway, I was at my local Target last year and saw an oddity with an Autobot Jazz Robot Replica figure. The packaging was all about Jazz but the transformer inside was the Decepticon Frenzy Robot Replica. I wrote Hasbro about this and after 4 emails they wrote this;
"Hi Craig,
Thank you for your patience.
Unfortunately, we are unable to advise on the rarity of this product.
We appreciate having the opportunity to assist you."
So anybody know about this kind of thing? Thanks for all your help.

It might have been a packaging mistake. If I were you, I would pick it up. It may be one of those freak toys that end up being super rare cause of a pckaging mistake.

In general, this shouldn't add too awful much to the value (as it just sounds like a packaging error, versus a true variant).

However, you never know what some nutterjob might think about it in 10 years, so it couldn't hurt to hide it in the back of the closet just in case!
