I have been scouring Ebay for a working Sky Lynx and I constantly run across auctions that state untested or do not mention anything about the electronics. How hard is it to put batteries in to check? Are we to assume that it doesn't work and the seller just put "untested" to leave the possibility that it might work?

i think sellers are scared to list that it works. It may work for them but when you get it in the mail it might not. Might buy an Encore if you have doubts.
