Other cartoons

Post by Thrust »

Well of course everyone here likes the transformers cartoons (we'll exclude the recent ones) but what about any others. Is there any cartoon past or present that you like (excluding TF).

I liked the Thundercats back in the day, some of them are pretty funny to watch now.
More recently I've really been watching Bleach, lots of action, big swords, whats not to like.

Anyone else got any favorite cartoons.

As far as other cartoons go one of my all time favorites has to be Neon Genesis Evangelion, a truely fantastic anime series. I'm also a fan of Futurama, Simpsons, Family Guy as well as Spongebob. Slightly more classic cartoons I enjoy include Rocko's Modern Life and Ren and Stimpy. I am sure there are quite a few more too.

I can't believe I thought Cassettes were the way of the future.

Is +1 on Kups list.

I was/am a big fan of Reboot.

Futurama
The Critic
Pokemon (the original cartoon not this diamond/pearl crap)
I'll watch some Scoobie Doo now and again if I'm bored...or stoned.
My Little Pony back in the day, also Carebears was the shiz.

David the 'frickin' Gnome, remember that? Remember when they die? Wacky German cartoons! Depressing as hell! In every wish and dream and happy home you will find the kingdom of the gnome.

Also the Grimm Fairy Tales cartoon on Nick Jr. was
awesome!

Teddy Ruxpin gives me fuzzies......I actualy have a Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby still..and its kind of funy. You hook them up and lash a cassette tape into Teddy and they tell you a story...well none of the teddy ruxpin tapes I had worked so I put in The Hobbit on cassette and Grubby's mouth moved by sound came out of Teddy, while they're hooked up through a cable..it was like Grubby was using Teddy as a sentient being to communicate. (I'm at work....I have to keep myself entertained..)

Alot of good cartoons were mentioned. I enjoyed the Visionaries, Legend of Zelda, Darkwing Duck, Talespin. There are alot more but the list would be too long.

ha, Rocko's Modern Life is awesome.

(Heffer dressed as Ed Bighead)"I am Ed Bighead"
(Filbert, also dressed as Ed Bighead)"We, say we."
(Heffer)"What?"
(Filbert)"We.We."
(Heffer)"Oh, ok. Wee wee."
(Filbert, stifled giggling)"Say it again!"

Also a fan of

He-man (c'mon, he punches the screen in the title credits. Classy or what?)
C.O.P.S (fighting crime, in a future town)
TMNT
The Real Ghostbusters (before it went all weird by focusing on Slimer)
Captain Herlock

and more recently
Family Guy
South Park
Rex the Runt (claymation, but still...)

I shouldn't have to say it but.......

1.Whoo hoo the Thundercats

2.Transformers

3.G.I.Joe A Real American Hero (first incarnation Sunbow animation not that DIC animation slop)

4.SilverHawks

5.TigerSharks (The only reason why I watched "The Comic Strip")

6. Tranzor Z

7.Gargoyles

8.Hey Arnold!

9.Avatar The Last Airbender

10.Futurama

11. Captain Planet And The Planeteers  I know its crappy but I like it. A superhero with a green mullet what more can you ask for?

12.Voltron (Lion, vehicle, gladiator I don't care)

13. Battle Of The Planets

14.StarBlazers

15. Doug (Nickelodeon's not Disney)

I despised Gigantor and Astro Boy. If it doesn't have a kick butt beginning theme..... forget about it.
