Well..technically yes. I'll field this question, I've become quite the Irish expert in the last four years (since I've been dating a bloke from the Eire.)

There's the republic of Ireland, which is like Dublin, Ireland and Cork..and then there is Northern Ireland. And Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England are part of the "United Kingdom" which is under "British rule."
