Wide screen vs. Full Screen???

Post by SentinelPrime »

Here's a questions for you guys! When it comes to movies on DVD, which do you prefer wide screen or full screen? What are your pros and cons on each? Here's my take:

Widescreen--
*Pros: see more of what's on the edge of the screen, can use closed caption at bottom of screen, ususally doesn't lap over into picture

*Cons: Still feel like I'm missing part of the picture vertically.

Fullscreen:
*Pros: See more of the movie, more enjoyable

*Cons: CC laps over the picture, missing outer edges of picture?

End result for me...I prefer Fullscreen over Widescreen.

Which leads to another question: Did Transformers Movie ONLY come out in Widescreen? Or is it available in Fullscreen as well?

I prefer widescreen myself due to you can see more of the picture left to right you not really missing anything at the top and bottom.

I seen a fullscreen version at walmart and at target but fullscreen goes faster.

Widescreen is the only way to see the complete movie.

I like Widescreen. It makes me feel fancy and discerning while I demurely sip my well chilled Pabst Blue Ribbon beer from a jelly jar.

I prefer widescreen as well. Probably not best for a small screen, but otherwise... :)

Widescreen all the way. It's the only way to see the whole picture, the way it was intended to be seen.

I have a widescreen TV, so technically widescreen is fullscreen for me. But I have always enjoyed widescreen more.

Widescreen is the way to go, it feels like your standing right there in the middle of the movie or episode your watching.
Must Destroy Metorplex.
