Um well I did have one but his legs were torn of during an 'accident' with a door and he found a nail through his eye before being 'accidentally' burned on a bonfire.

Do you remember where you or how you got it, and if those are the weapons he came with?

He is the official "Wonderbread mail-in He-man"

Wonder did at least two promotions with He-man. One was for a set of cards. The other was that He-man. The weapons are just a recolor of some of the grey ones that came with Greyskull.

I need to know if anyone had one and remembered exactly where they got it from. No one can confirm it actually came from Wonderbread.

He looks a little like Blackstar, but the articulation on the figure seems wrong for the Blackstar toy line.

A lot of people think it was supposed to be test shots for Conan, the Conan people passed, and Mattel turned it into He-Man. There's a huge mythos surrounding this guy, and I'm just throwing it out there to get some answers. (I have a John Blackstar-check out my post in "Other Collections")

UM was right. If you check castlegrayskull.org you will find him under the miscellaneous section in action figures.

Dez, can I ask how you had a figure that was released as an excluse given away by WonderBread, a product that has never been available in the uk?

I really doubt a charity shop would have a US only exclusive toy.

Just to clarify: It has never been proven to come from Wonderbread, that's what I'm after. Someone who had the toy new when they were a child, and REMEMBERED where it came from, or filing out a mail-away coupon, or getting it NEW from a store, or a give-away. Probably around '81 to '86.

Well, if my word isn't good enough for you, have you considered contacting Wonder Bread about it?

Heres Some Useless Tid Bits I Found. Im Sure You Read All This Stuff But I Thought Id Copy And Paste Some Stuff For Ya....

No-one seems to know where this figure came from, but it's been called wonder bread He-Man because it was believed that he was a wonder bread mail away, but the only thing confirmed is wonder bread did give out He-Man trading cards.

This is not my figure but he belongs to the Fowler Brothers, famous He-man collectors. As far as I know this is the only bagged wonder Bread He-Man in existence.

When the Fowler brothers were asked, they don't even know the authenticity of this figure in their possession.

Heres Pics Of The Paper Insert

It's not official; it was just a baggie with tape on it.
The paper is just a random Mattel coupon.

Sadly enough, scalpers point to that and claim it's how an original bagged Savage He-Man came.
There's zero proof for that.

Another thing about that coupon is the hole at the top.
And, the crease lines around it which means it was pulling down on something.

I can't think of why the coupon would have needed to hang from a peg.
Possibly to hang in a store near product?
Also, it's not torn, so it wasn't ripped off of a peg. Gently pulled off by chance?

Someting that was printed to insert in a bag wouldn't need a hole punched at the top.
So that's another reason to indicate that this coupon was not bagged with this figure.

Ok... From What I Heard He Is In Lee's Guide to Classic He-Man.
Also Someone Claims To Have Seen Some On Ebay Being Sold By "Respected Sellers" But Most Claim He Is Real But Never Was Released. Alot Of Customs Out There.

Oh yes. Tons of people have. They deny knowing anything about it and are probably sick of hearing it. They even have a template script to answer that question. Same with Mattel.
