LEGO Panther tank!
Yay! I finally had time to get this uploaded to my fileserver:
TT's LEGO Panther, as promised.
admittedly, it's my first foray into web design, and I plan to sort out the page more, soon. Yes, there will be more pictures, like of the actual tank. Enjoy!

Well, I just updated it with a few lower-res pics of the tank... just go there and hit refresh.
I'd love to do aircraft, especially a Superfortress, but there is no design guidance for such an undertaking. I've seen instructions for a few warbirds, like a P-38 Lightning... but the instruction CD alone was $50!!! My budget for this tank, start to finish, parts and all... was $60.

Admittedly, that's a bit of an inside joke.
There's this great game, called Company of Heroes, with hilarious voice acting quotes. Long story short, one of the most famous and frequent quotes is telling your German grenadiers to use their medkits, to which they reply
"Jürgens... YOU'RE the pretty one, YOU can be our nurse..." in a very silly tone of voice. Jürgens soon found his way into our D&D WWII campaign as a high-level cleric and tank driver to General Hermann Leudtke, and eventually to the crew of panther 539.
"Hey [Inferno], I need one more german name for my crew here. Any ideas?"
'JüRGENS! He's the pretty one! He can be their nurse!"

www.bricklink.com is my source for all the dark gray parts i needed. I bought from several sellers to get everything i needed, and they were all fair and good businesspeople. Check it out!

It's nice for finding that one damn piece you need to finish a model you bought in a store.
Right now, I'm working on a quick swap-over Jagdpanther conversion. I'm doing it in red for now, til i get the kinks hammered out, them i'll order some dark gray to do it with. It's pretty simple switchover, the only new assemblies are a shorter front glacis, the bigger gun mount (i'm using the original barrel, even though the real tank would change from a 75mm to 88mm), and the hull top. i'll post some pics tomorrow. That, and i'm meaning to post some nice, higher-res pics of the panther as it is!
