May I ask what you're planning on getting, Minerva? Just out of curiosity. :)

Redline, what does it represent for you?

personally i think it symbolizes better times after a dark age(due to chosen image), the artwork looks as it's made with soul in mind

My original plan was to get a feather, but I'd also like to get an autobot insignia.
To me, they both symbolize very special things.

That sounds like it will turn out great, Minerva.

As for what it represents, I see it as an image of serenity and calmness. That out of something that could be seen as ugly (the gnarled branches) can come something of beauty (the blossoms). I also very much considered it to be an investment in a piece of art, only I hang this one on my back instead of on my wall. I think in future additions, I'm going to have the artist sign it.

i think all tattoos should mean something or have some significance because if they don't you will end up hating it, and being stuck with it.

i have learned that the hard way.

Can you not get a meaningful one and cover it?

yes in a since they can be covered as long as the new pattern you choose will do the job, and the healing process on a coverup is slightly longer than a regular tat do the the fact that the first one is actually considered scar tissue, if its small it can be covered with out problems usually , in some cases you have to use a tribal or other black work,

They are developing more successful methods for removing tattoos now too. I have heard a lot more about it recently, especially as more of this younger generation are getting more in-depth in the workforce and such.
