As for what it represents, I see it as an image of serenity and calmness. That out of something that could be seen as ugly (the gnarled branches) can come something of beauty (the blossoms). I also very much considered it to be an investment in a piece of art, only I hang this one on my back instead of on my wall. I think in future additions, I'm going to have the artist sign it.

yes in a since they can be covered as long as the new pattern you choose will do the job, and the healing process on a coverup is slightly longer than a regular tat do the the fact that the first one is actually considered scar tissue, if its small it can be covered with out problems usually , in some cases you have to use a tribal or other black work,
no its not much more painful than the first time, really depends on a person threshhold for pain i guess, me i have a full body sleeve and i enjoyed every minute of it,
They are developing more successful methods for removing tattoos now too. I have heard a lot more about it recently, especially as more of this younger generation are getting more in-depth in the workforce and such.
