Just goes to show how messed up this world can be.

While we are on the subject, Halloween is just around the corner.
I went Trick Or Treating every year when I was young
And it's ALWAYS been a tradition in my family, since I was a lil' mini-con to NOT eat any unsealed candy. This includes even the good stuff like tootsie rolls, jolly ranchers, bubble gum etc.... basically anything that is wrapped with a twist on each end.

I have carried on this tradition with my mini cons.
They get mad at me just like I got mad at my mother for doing the same thing. But I tell them it's for their own safety.
All twist-wrapped candy went straight into the garbage.

Now, I only take my kids out to family and friends houses for candy.
Then, we go to the school for a halloween party with games prizes and candy. They have so much more fun doing that rather than hunting for candy and walking all over town and getting cold. Then go home and have over half of their candy thrown away.

I suggest all of us do the same thing.
Only take your kids to your family and friends.
Find a cool party to go to.
Your lil' ones will still have tons of fun and more importantly stay safe.
