I think, for me, it's more of an appearance thing than a sound thing. But the revving certainly helps as well.Time Traveller wrote:Scientific proof of Arcee and Roar's attraction (if they were into REAL cars [italian])

If you have ever heard a eight hundred horsepower self propelled forage harvester rev up, you would know why I like my man tractor mounted.
Mo, seriously, I have never liked all the fancy fast cars, I like a practical vehicle, a fancy car would be about useless to us.
What was the Maserati again, I forgot.but science says your subconscious likes the maserati

I grew up on a farm too! I was driving trucks and tractors by the time I was 8 yrs. old! My dad and my other two brothers still farm in my hometown. They mainly raise: Peanuts, Corn, Cotton and Hay. I had to get out of the farming lifestyle b/c I had major allergies that caused major ear infections and damaged my hearing some what.
With the economy the way it is now, it's a "tough row to hoe" for farmers nowdays! To stay alive, you have to do more that just farm. My brothers in addition to farming, hire out for custom chopping for the dairymen.

Derrick was born and reared on a farm and he said that he was taught to drive a tractor at the age of nine. We have not even tried to make a living by just farming, hence me being a vet and he is a farm contractor. We do keep livestock. Cows, sheep, hens, one rabbit, one dog and me
We make our own hay to feed them through the winter. you can not use trucks on farmland here because they will just get stuck as the land is very steep and wet.
