Gnarls Barkley has a song/rap called "Transformer"

It starts out like "Ay, yi, yi yi yi, transform, transform, transform, I'm a transformer"

The best part is in the bridge when the lyrics are "I can transform, I can transform, I can transform without even tryin'"

The album also has other 80's pop culture references to shows like Inspector Gadget and St. Elsewhere.

I love to ride and crank that up when I cruise Thruway where the ricers gather, I think it makes the kids think I'm cool.

Okay no, I just like being strange.

So, there's actually a very-transformers themed rap song, which is actually tolerable (except for the one guy with a really annoying voice[lil wayne i think? the guy who turns into a bugatti in the vid)), and has a REALLY cool video.
It may be the only rap song i've intentionally listened to more than once.

Okay, this next one Blackjack and I have known about for years.
PLEASE IGNORE THEIR DESCRIPTION.
The song is ACTUALLY called "We Will Miss Optimus Prime", by a group called Mr. McFeely (a reference to the delivery man on Mr. Rogers), who were based out of Fairbanks, AK. Excellent song. They even make obscure references that casual 'fans' wouldn't get. Props.

Thank TT,

I can't believe I'd forgotten about that.

For the record, I love how you can see the thin line of green around Stan's body when he's in front of the movie scenes. Also, it's watermarked MTV2. Was this actually on air in the last 10 or 15 years???

I actually prefer hard rock/metal myself but anything Transformers relevant in the music industry (especially G1) is certainly worth checking out. Welcome to the forums by the way!
