We had decided to paint our house, so i wanted to make something new for my room. Thus, i decided to paint a Decepticon insignia. It took me 8 hours ( ) to finish it.

Thanks. :)
At first i made it black but it didn't turn out as i expected.
But a few shadings with blue did the trick.
To find the correct dimensions was a real pain; and still, its not 100% accurate but i got really tired and i had to finish it.

Haha. This is EXACTLY why I keep an old school style overhead transparency projector lying around the garage! It'd cut this project down to 2 hours, tops. Probably only 1.

do you have the capability to print transparencies, or would you just draw it?

Looks cool, Razorclaw, but you know deep down it's the wrong faction.

Generally, you can print directly onto transparency paper with either an inkjet or bubblejet printer. If you have a laser jet printer, I believe you need to buy a special type of transparency paper.

I use inkjet with my transparencies, and it works well... though you need to watch out for smearing. I also had to try a couple different printers to find one that didn't smear it while it printed.

EDIT: And of course, even if you *couldn't* print directly on them... there's always tracing!

EDIT2: I just looked. They now make a transparency film that can be used with ANY printer. A bit pricy at about 75cents a sheet though. (Box of 50=$36.00)

You need special transparencies for inkjets too. Thats why it was smearing. They are usually kind of expensive. But Walmart has packs of 10 for like $5-$10.

Edit: Can you post a link to those transparencies?

If you don't want to bother you with the whole issue. Simply have a photo file, or normal print, up to an office store or other place with printing services. It should only cost about $2 for a single page.

Looks cool! You should have done it the size of the whole wall, though!

Thanks everyone. :D
It must be close to 19 inches high.

@ CM: Don't worry, i can't be controlled...
P.S.: I knew you'd like it!

@Minerva: Well, no way! :P
I wouldn't do it again, especially for an insignia that is not composed by straight lines only! :P

@Ramjet: Yeah, sure...i'd still have been there calculating and painting!
