Your local news

Post by Galvatron »

Sometimes it's nice to post things about your local area. Feel free to add any of your local news to this thread.

If anybody watched any national news today you might have heard that Oregon was hit by a tornado.
The tornado hit a small town about 10 minutes away from my house. Then moved northeast totally avoiding my town.
I'm safe, and my Tranformers are safe. I guess if I'm going to be sending Cyclonus and Vortex out to do any destruction, I need to make sure that they do it further away from my current base of operations.

No report of anybody getting hurt in the tornado. Some people were trapped in their cars between some down powerlines. A ladies house lost the roof. But her neighbor found it in his front yard. Other buildings were destroyed.

I'm glad you made it out unscathed bud. Tornadoes skirt around the town where I live all the time as it's located in a "depression" or bowl like topography. So we have been lucky in avoiding disasters so far. An occasion tremor or mild earthquake does hit every now and then that's about it.

Glad you're both okay. Try to keep it that way. [/Wheelie]

Hope any friends and family you have nearby are also safe and well.

In other news, a ginormous, weird-lookin' planet is going to devour the Earth on December 21, 2012. Details at 11.
One shall stand; one shall fall; and the one who stands shall help the one who falls to stand once again.

Glad to know that no one got hurt. It must have been terrible to have a tornado pass so close to your home...

yeah it was a bit nerve racking since I live in a trailer park.
Trailer parks are like magnets to tornadoes.

Updated news, it was a F2 tornado of 110-120 mph winds.
10 houses were destroyed.
Thank God nobody was hurt.

Nice! If you look closely you can see the Decepticons spacebridge technology at the base of it. :P

I enjoy the person on the radio saying "please don't try to chase it" as the people with the camera are in fact chasing it.

Breaking Local news: A wolf took recently took down a deer in the yard across the street from here, in the middle of the southern neighborhood of town. Somethings scared it off, but not before it chawed on the deer's leg enough to mortally wound it. The deer bedded down under a nearby tree and was later put down by police.
