Hey guys. This guy is turning 90 in a few days. (the 4th). He fought in WWII and all he wants is people to come to his little veteran home party. The least we can do is write up a short letter to wish him a hapy birthday and say thanks for his service. It may get there late, but at least he'll get them fairly soon. C'mon. Lets do this.

Info

William J. Lashua
c/o Ashburnham American Legion
132 William Rd.
Ashburnham, MA 01430

I have my letter ready to be mailed. You?

Looks like he has a lot of well-wishers, as well he should :)

so does anybody know how that all turned out?

We had a yard sale this past summer and I got to meet a WWII vet.
I thanked him for his service and tipped my hat to him. It felt good to be in the presence of a true part of American history

It went great. They got him an awesome cake, he got like, 3 bags of birthday letters, and a lot of family and people he didn't even know showed up. The owner of the home was in tears and touched by all of it, and sources say he himself had a great time. I would post pics of the whole thing, but I'm lazy.
