This guy is so right. We need to fight this. More than half of the whole internet is in danger if we let this happen. Together we must band together, spread the message of Bill S.978, and united we will put it down for good.

My question with such bills is who is going to enforce it? They don't do **** to stop identity theft, and little to stop kiddie porn. But hey lets stop everything to jail people who upload stuff that was already broadcast on tv for free???
The solution to copy writed stuff on the internet is not enforcement, its availability. I watch streaming videos all the time. And I'm more than happy to watch commercials to watch legitimate videos, or even pay a monthly subscription to something like hulu or netflix to see everything. But I'm not going to pay $1 or more per episode to watch something unless I own it and can put it a dvd or my phone like when I buy an mp3. And even when too own it there are very few I'd buy.
Studios need to stop being so greedy. I already pay like $400 a month for cable tv, internet, phone data plan, blockbuster, netflix, etc. This idea that they should reap huge profits for every thing they put out is ridiculous. Especially for tv shows. I'm already paying them to see it (cable), and sitting through the commercials which are supposed to funding it since they are using the public airwaves. And they already get more money for reruns and dvd sales. Look at amazon, family guy episodes for $8 each!!!!! Thats just pure greed. And they'll never stop the pirated stuff going this route.
Its the same crap they tried to pull with the music. Did the lawsuits stop pirated music? Why would fines? Jails are already overcrowded. They let people out early constantly because there is no room. Hey this guy is only in for assault, let him out to make room we got a 16 year old coming in who posted the entire season of lost online. It'll only cost a couple billion a year in enforcement, we can just take that out of education or infrastructure we spend too much on them anyway.
