Well Jose buddy, it appears that the old gang was not so "gang" after all.
Sideways, some people do.
Saw your daughter Matt, 3rd minicon if i'm not mistaken?

Far over the Misty Mountains cold, To dungeons deep and caverns old. The pines were roaring on the height, The winds were moaning in the night, The fire was red, it flaming spread, The trees like torches blazed with light.

Its always good to have ol Galvy around. I was out of touch from forums in general not too long ago. Since my close friend died last year, things were tough. Life has been throwing blaster bolts at me, but im clear now. Its definetely good to see familiars on here. The good ol days may be once again!

So, I guess it is my turn to check in.
Let us see here. I had a couple of bad surgeries. I never fully recovered from those. My oldest is a teenager now, and my youngest started middle school this year. My wife is still with me, damn fool that she is. I was without computer for a while (a couple of years, actually) because my finances went kinda sketchy with all of my medical needs.
I still pick up the random bot every now and again, but only things that are very reminiscent of G1 updates. The movies were never my style (remember those heated debates where I told you all the Bay was crap after the first one?).
I really never even thought about stopping back by until I saw a broken Jetfire (my sons are really into Robotech right now) Matt listed on eBay today. "Transfomerland! I know that place!"
I have often thought of you guys Al, Jarron, Jose, Sandra, Mel, Phil, Mark, Matt, Dave, Ben(dover) and everyone. 2009 was a bad year for me all around. This place falling apart really depressed me, and I regretted my part in it (though I never wanted anyone to leave, feel displaced by me, or even think for a moment that I had anything but love for you guys).
So, not everything has been sun shinny. I really felt like I lost one of my last lifelines to sanity when all the hubbub occurred.
Anyway. I am here now. I am glad to see some old faces and new. I will spend some time catching up (reading), and will try to spread some cheer from time to time.

Wow! Welcome back.
I've often thought about that myself. It seems G1 collecting is a dying past time. BUT, the 3rd party era is rapidly growing with its rabid fan base. And most of those toys are die-hard homages of G1 characters. I think if TFL were to offer the chance to pre-order/sell 3rd party merchandise from various overseas vendors (ie: iGear, FansProject, Mastermind Creations, Perfect Effect, exc...) it would bring a TON of traffic this way. Of course that's an option Matt would have to look into himself.Sideways wrote:There's nothing more I'd like then to try and help 'revitalize' TFL. I really miss this place being active.
Heya Maggie, long time no see! Welcome back, glad to see you're still alive
RB....Yeah, I'd love to carry 3rd party stuff...you got any sources?

I've got Jizai (developer/designer from FansProject) and Ceno Kibble (owner/operator of Mastermind Creations) as Facebook contacts. But I know neither of them on a personal level, other than a few interactions concerning releases here and there. I'd be willing to help you out, though, in any way possible Trance! Just let me know.trance wrote:RB....Yeah, I'd love to carry 3rd party stuff...you got any sources?
