A question has been raised in the result of Deszaras posting about the dinoforce in the profiles thread. They all have Japanese individual names, but their English names are the names of the Pretender Monsters. they do look similiar in robot form. Is it just the same as the Japanese calling Powermaster Prime God Ginraii? I am just curious, Deszaras you are the Japanese expert here, your thoughts.

Ok ginrai is the japanese term for power master Optimus prime without his trialer. Super ginrai is power master optimus prime linked to his trailer. God ginrai is powermaster optimus prime with apex armour.

The dinosaur force are:
Goryu (recolor of icepick)
Doryu (recolor of scowl)
Gairyu (recolor of Bristleback)
Kakuryu (recolor of Slog)
Rairyu (recolor of Birdbrain)
Yokuryu (recolor of wildfly)

They form dinoking (which is a recolour of monstructor.)

The dionosaur force's internal robots are the same as those for monstructor but they do not transform in the victory series. Whilst combined with there pretender shells (the dinosaurs) they form the weapons. All except Goryu who rides his dinosaur.

They are the same robots as for omnstructor but they have different pretender shells.

Is that enough or do you want more infomation?

The major difference between power master op and god ginri is who the powermaster is. on PMOP its a nebulon to concide with the G1 comics but in japan it was this human:

Who was the power master who linked with the lifeless transtecor that took his name.

ok I get that there just recolors and remakes of others but what your saying is the japanese are crasier than the us or uk right? lol where was that link that said 99% of wierd stuff lol

yep there very crazy. But some of there stuff is excellent. Why did they never release the stuff from masterforce and victory in the Uk and Us?

the us and uk values are different If i remeber correctly there Dragonball Z is very editied in the us here and in japan its more bloody lets say

Thankyou Deszaras, I know very little of the Japanese toy line. I thankyou for answering that question and clearing it up for me.

At one time I had all the U.S. pretender monsters that form the the little combiner robot called MONSTRUCTOR. But I've since misplaced several of the bots to form him. Hopefully they are still in a box buried somewhere in my garage!

I'll post this here also. I've acquired rairyu:




The bot they all combine into is Dinoking who I think is a recolor of monstructor.

BTW: I really like this figure and will hunt down the other 5 members so I can have a complete Dinoking. (plus this one has zero grrening of the gold. where the gold goes green on the outer rubber shell [Nor will it ever for if it starts I'll put some gold paint over the top of it.])

Those pretender shells are better than the original ones!!

I am from Singapore and they do show this on TV in the late 80s and early 90s

Basically everything is the same, just a repackage in terms of names and color.
