Inside that matrix you carry is the powers of all the fallen Autobot leaders.
Soon, very soon, it will contain all of your powers as well.
That is why I must have the matrix. I must destroy it and keep it out of the posession of Autobots.
I do believe the Commander is simply unfamiliar with bravery and fearlessness--we have it in spades, and it appears your warriors will never catch on to the concept, as fear is the only reason they follow you.
Fear keeps them on their toes. I lead through terror serve me well and they will be rewarded, defy me and they will die. The autobots will be the latter, of course.
Autobots are brave, loyal and will sacrifice themselves in hearbeat for the greater good.
As a leader I don't need to try to scare any of my fellow Autobots, they are all too willing to step into battle to put you deceptifools in your place.

Yes--the greater good. Though you may as well be speaking another language, because that's something their twisted minds will never understand. Just pity them, Rodimus. They will never know what it's like to do something that isn't done out of fear or the desire to be rewarded.
(And knowing is half the battle ... G. I. Jooooeeee!!)
