yes you did, but not until after the Transformers movie, at least not until after it going on my theory. Snarl was once againm seen in the Cartoons when Rodimus was Autobot Leader.

I only remember seeing him in Dark Awakening in one of the funniest scenes from G1

Snarl - " You all dead "
Sludge - Maybe we dead "

Absolutely classic

Dinocons ?????????

They probably would have been, although I think that all of the Dinobots were not used enough after the movie.

And in season 3 Grimlock remained too much time in Tyrannosaurus mode and,if I remember well, seemed less menacious  .
It could have ben for the kids..

So comics create a tale to explain Snarl's move, great thing that this universe covers also cartoon aspects.
Poor Snarl ,trapped in a real stegosaurus.. .

The comics didn't create it per say. Its just my take on it and the possibility of what the writers of the comic had thought.

As for Grimlock...The cartoons set after the movie were mostly set in space or on Cybertron as they were easier to draw than earth and its Rugged terrain. Same as drawing Grimlock in Dinosaur mode, it was easier to draw that than him in robot mode. This all saved time and thus saved money.

More than likely an official release! I think its in one of the UK Graohic novels about them being easier to draw and the whole space and Cybertron concept.

Grimlock post movie was "different";in certain moments I fear that all began with his first meeting with Wheelie, that annoying Autobot must have droven him crazy in the movie  .

Joking aside, your thoughts about Grimlock easier to draw in Tyrannosaurus mode makes sense, following strategy of season 3 of using universe to make easier backgrounds..
So even Grimlock's change of attitude is a result of the saved money policy.
And Dinobots prefer their animal mode...cute :P .I knew just Snarl's unhappiness.
