No, we have this wonderful thing called competition...
Though, JD rocks at agricultural, forestry, and backhoes, while CAT dominates most larger equipment, like mining operations, larger dozers and excavation equipment, etc. Komatsu, CASE, Terex, and some others are still major players. We don't see much for german marks like Hanomag or Liebherr, but i have seen some around.

That is interesting because over here JCB is the dominant company for construction equipment but we have Hitachi, Terex, Thwaites, Barford Catterpillar, Pel - Job, Kubota and a few more in competition. while JD, New Holland and Massey Ferguson are the major players for agri tractors, with Fendt, Valtra, Renault, Claas, McCormick, Belarus and Zetor are the competition.

On the machine in the pic is written John Deree.....so although is similar to a payloader,JD is strong especially in agricultural side.I never saw so big machines in forestry works in Italy .
A good amount of construction machines with JCB logo are present in my country....it's true,I've just read that in Europe is a very strong group and in UK this name is often used to refer to every vehicle of this kind .

Being a Global recession and a buyers market for consumers I decided to buy a new car. Now with every new car I buy there is this hoodoo and this one was no different. After ordering the car a few months back I was made to wait till this morning to pick it up. After having screwed the better part of 15k off the price I was extremely glad to finnally pick it up.
After signing the paperwork and being show how everything worked it was off on my way to home. Prefering to be a catious driver I drive with my lights on, after the drive home which included the usal rubber neck and moron hoons with their car that could barely blow the head off a rice pudding asking for a race, I was looking foreward to taking the car out this afternoon and really opening it up. So shock and awe come the afternoon I've gone out to start the car and its completly lifeless, straight away I'm on the phone to the dealer that he's sold me a dud . So they arrange to tow it. Once it got back the dealer I'm told he battery has run flat because I've left the lights on .
The mechanic looked at me like an idiot until I explained to him that my daily driver an sti-wrx turned the lights and accesories off automatically.
Now to top they day off on this next journey home I'm pulled over by a police blitz out for defective vechiles, I'm asked for my liscence and rego and knowing in the back of my mind thats all they wanted to see (young guy + sports car=trouble so we'll pull him over) to my astonishment theysoon begin looking the car over for defects, looking at tread wear on the tyres the knobs are still on the sidewalls!!!, at this point I produce the paperwork to show them the car has just come off the showroom. So I'm sent on my way.
What a bloody day!!!
