Steel Battalion
Have any of you ever played Steel Battalion for the original Xbox? For those not familiar with it, it is a mech game that requires a custom 40 button controller and foot pedals. Original cost for the game and contoller was about 200 bones, and used they are going for about 150. It has been my grail of games since I heard about it several years ago.
A few weeks ago my buddy pointed me to an Ebay auction that had the whole set up for $40 shiped. The caveat was that one of the control sticks was snapped at the base. I tried to repair it but just made a mess of things. Yesterday, I got my buddy to help and with a little "engineering" we were able to get that bad boy up and running. Gotta say, I'm totally pumped.

I have Steel Battalion, that controller is a monster! The comments I got from my family when they saw it I found it to be a great game even though it is very difficult considering what happends if you die. It is definatly the closest thing that were are going to get to piloting a 30ft robot. (At least at the moment!) Damn I am tempted to go and dig it out, but my xbox is bust.

Ok I will post up some pics of the controller pretty soon, just give me a few days as work is pretty manic at the moment. As for shots of the gameplay I will see if I can borrow my brothers xbox since mines up the creek.

I had seen some pics of the controller on a magazine just before the game was released and it seemed a great thing with all those buttons and things to look at...
I already suspected that difficulty would have been absurd ... .Well, more challenge after all ,if it is balanced well.
I'd like to try this game in the future if there's the chance...
