There was:
"The Fast and The Furious."
"2 Fast 2 Furious"
"Fast and Furious 3, Tokyo Drift"
and then this summer's "Fast and Furious"

And for the record, nobody should be forced to watch any of them!

I love them. Tokyo drift was kinda gay but, F&F 4 was pretty sweet. I'm a fool for car movies....no matter the poor story lines. If I wanted story line I'd go to the movies with my Mom and watch the Horse Whisperer or some other old lady movie!

Phoooey. Forget about that. This is the father of car chases:

However my favorite is this one:

Those Fast and Furious movies are pretty phony.

"Driven" will put a quick end to that syndrome.

There's something about the sleek body of a classic muscle car that a new car can't really match.

Thanks Ben... Somehow, at the moment I feel like I'm in the minority!

Gone in sixty seconds? You have to watch the original Gone 60, from 1974. 40 minutes of mayhem, with a Mustang Mach I

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlzWF_VmEu8

And car chases are not only a US muscle car priviledge. Check how an European classic car can handle them:

All of the newer car movies are crap, IMHO. Why? Because THEY DON'T USE CARS.

If I want to watch CGI cars, I'll load up something on XBox360.

CGI is killing movies for me. Bring back the models!

mmmmmmm eleanor..... :P drool factor! Although there is a scene in that movie that can be described as the best fronseat action & cars. Thats a combination thats hard to make. Nicolas cage was perfectly casted.

Gone in 60 sec (newest) was fun to watch, good story line, good actors. The original one was also fun to watch.

Tha fast & the furious films use some of the nicest cars (not all of them..)
If you're a used import nissan dealer then you love the makers of part 1.
The prices of the skyline went through the roof after part 1 (and still are..)

I dont see why a r34 skyline is in need of NOS, the engine can produce 1000bhp without it.

Story wise, rubbish, but good mindless action. Just pop a beer and grab a bag of chips/popcorn.

That said, i still want to lent a r34 skyline for a weekend, just to experience it. Anyone can lent me one?

You could modify an older model too... they were made better back in the day. More powerful engines and they actually held up. Newer is not always better. The new Charger pales in comparison to the '69 Charger.

Hey kid, have you ever tried swapping a transmission in cars newer than '92? You have to do all this crap with the car's computer, the wiring harness is a nightmare, and that's if you can even get the other crap out of the way...

I assure you, it's much easier in a '32 Ford. Hell, you can hot rod a classic with a socket set and a hammer!

Also, i'd like to see vin diesel's character chop, section, and channel a modern car like the pros can do to a 40's merc...
