Transformers Legacy, The Art Of Transformers Packaging

Post by skywarp408 »

A couple weeks ago I purchased the book. The artwork is what really sold the toy to me back then.

You can probably find most of these pics online, but there is just something about holding it in your hands that appeals to me. The book is over 300 pages! Here just some samplings. They have pretty much every character from 1984-1990+ you can think of, including some unused G2 Dinobot stuff and an evil Quickswitch.

Good grief that book is great! I love the page where Skywarp is transforming beside a 747? (not really up on my planes) Thanks for showing that! Fantastic artwork! I think that is what really sets the toys from the 80's apart from all others, and make them so much more appealing to the eye, and collectible. :D

The book sells for around $30-$35 bucks online. Definitely a must for the g1 collector. Hasbro went all out back then on their packaging.
