Having checked on and secured Blackjack, Minerva, Swift and Rev strap themselves in for the trip to the Ætherspite. They don’t get far before Rev gets a message and hurries off towards the cockpit.
Minerva and Swift exchange looks, both wondering what could have happened. Decepticons?
Concerned and not sure what she should make of the situation, Minerva opens a comm. link to Sideways.

Sideways, this is Minerva. What’s going on? Are we under attack? She pauses, waiting for a reply.

Suddenly, both Minerva and Swift turn their attention to Blackjack. His weak voice is barely heard over the various sounds from the ship and medical equipment. Minerva quickly unstraps herself from the seat and walks over to him. She had been afraid that the damage he’d taken from the explosion had been too much to handle for his systems, but seeing him conscious was a good sign.

You’re in the Maus’ medbay, Blackjack. We’re heading to the ‘Spite. She pauses for a moment before continuing;
It’s good to see you awake. You took a lot of damage from the explosion and had us all worried…

Heh, it'll take a lot more than that to kill me... his voice trails off, still barely audible.

He glances at Minerva with his one optic receptor. It was comforting to know they were heading to the 'Spite. The medical equipment there was first-class and with a medical expert like Minerva in charge, everything would be back to normal in no time.

But he still had to explain to his old friend Cambreaker why he had taken the risk of allowing Galvatron to enter Iacon. Why he had betrayed them all. First his trust in Arcee and now this. There was a lot on Blackjack's shoulders. He knew this. How could he face them after all of had been done?

We're fine, Minerva. We've gained a new ally, it seems. Calls himself The Last Autobot. He looks like it too. He's following behind us.

Once again, the weak holograph fizzles into life behind the Sideways.

Not to impose, but how far are we from the destination?

We'll be reaching our destination shortly.

A flashing light can be seen on the dashboard and the Maus shudders, then begins to slow down, losing altitude.

What the heck?

The engines aren't powerful enough to overcome the gravity of Cybertron. I installed a powerful, but experimental engine system that might be able to pull free, but it's never been tested before.

Hold on tight guys, this could get rough!

Hmm. Perhaps this might be a good time for me to intervene.

As Sideways prepares to fight the gravitational pull, the holograph shudders then disappears and then The Last Autobot's huge arms unfold from his alt mode and catch the Maus as it begins to get pulled back down to the planet.

Hope you don't mind me doing this...

And with that, the powerful thrusters on The Last Autobot's alt mode flare up violently, and he slowly but surely begins to pull the Maus out of the gravitational field of Cybertron. Eventually, they escape the pull of the planet. Soon after, the holograph returns to the bridge of the Maus.

Sorry if I didn't exactly consult you before I acted, but considering what could have happened, it seemed prudent at the time.

And with that, the holograph once again disappeared and The Last Autobot's alt mode returned to its position behind the Maus, en route to whatever their destination was.

Well, we're out of the atmosphere. Activating sub-orbital engines, NOW!

Sideways pushes a button on the dashboard and pushes a throttle lever to the max. The exterior of the Maus changes as 4 engines extend from the fuselage and roar to life, propelling the freighter as the normal engines shut off.

Watching the Maus roar off into space, The Last Autobot follows suit and rockets off in the same direction. After a bit, he sees a huge frigate floating ominously in orbit above Cybertron. The holograph once again flickers into life inside the bridge of the Maus.

I take it that's our destination...

Minerva barely makes it back to her seat before Sideways’ warning. It did indeed get a bit rough as he said, but it soon calms down and Minerva guesses that they’re not far from the ‘Spite now.
She turns to Swift, who still seems a bit shaken.
Hang in there, Swift. I think we’re about to dock at the ‘Spite now. The green ‘bot seemed somewhat relieved by hearing that.

She glances to Blackjack. His status was unchanged and fortunately the shaky ride didn’t seem to have affected him at all.
She’d gotten the impression; no, she was sure that he was hiding something from them. He was an old friend and she’d trusted him with her life, but she could not figure out why he’d brought Galvatron into Iacon. She had a lot of questions, which she knew Cambreaker and the others would want some answers to as well. However, the most important thing right now was to get him to the Ætherspite’s medbay. The rest would have to wait.

She would also like to find out who this “Last Autobot” was. He seemed to have already gained at least some of Sideways’ trust. She herself was a bit wary, especially considering recent events.

We've reached the 'Spite. I'm going to initate docking procedures.

Sideways reaches over and pulls the throttle lever down, slowing the freighter as it pulls close to the 'Spite.

The Maus and The Last Autobot enter the atmosphere, hurtling towards the ruins of Iacon. The Maus comes to a quick landing outside with The Last Autobot transforming in midair and landing with a tremendous thud. He runs over to the ruins and begins lifting up huge chunks of rubble, trying to locate the source of the transmission. The more rubble he removes, the stronger the signal's strength becomes, at last, he finds the source. A small, limp robotic body is halfway emerged the rubble, the socket where one arm once was sparking feebly.

Sideways! I've found him! He's going to need serious medical attention! We have to get him back to the 'Spite immediately or he's gonna go offline!

And with that he pulls the small body from the rubble and rushes him over to The Maus and lets Sideways take him to the medbay. With this done, the two ships lift up and once again begin to exit the atmosphere of Cybertron.

Rev, get him hooked up to Life Support!

Sideways opens a comms to the 'Spite. He relays information about their encounter to Cambreaker and advises that they have the medbay ready for Jazz's arrival. Sideways then closes the channel and throws the Maus into high gear. The freighter shudders and creaks as it leaves the atmosphere, aided by the suborbital engines.

The cracked and burnt body of Jazz is being examined. His left arm is nothing but wires and slag, and a major blast wound can be seen in the right side of his chest.

He sees Jazz ready himself for the possible fight, when out of the corner of his eye, The Last Autobot sees a boken rifle of some sort sticking out of the rubble. He shoots the energy beam out of his forehead and repairs it before tossing it to Jazz.

Here, this might be a better weapon in the event a firefight breaks out.

As he begins to locate the Decepticon signal once more, he sees it come to a screeching halt on his radar.

It's stopping. Be extra cautious then. It could be an ambush.

Jazz catches the repaired blaster. He holsters his Ion-pistol.

"Thanks." Jazz says as he inspects the blaster. "Amazing what you can repair, eh?"

Yes. There is very little I am not capable of repairing.

He looks out to the horizon, attempting to find the source of the signal.

Increase magnification, 300%.

He begins to see a small dot with a huge dust trail behind it.

500%

Now it is clear to him what he is seeing. A large blue robot sitting on a little red go kart. He chuckles.

Not much of one for subtlety, are we?

He muses to himself as he watches.

Alright Jazz. Target's coming in fast. Blue robot on red vehicle. Fire only if fired upon.

"Gotcha, yessir." Jazz replies to The Last Autobot as he steadis the blaster onn a hunk of rubble.

* dirge is pushin the go kart to its limit as he approaches iacon he sees that the base is more or less destroyed anyway *

" i didnt come al the way this far to not have some fun "

* dirge pushes a button and the go kart launches a missile directly at iacon *

"Incoming missle!! Heads up!" Jazz yells as he take aim at the go-kart it fired from.

The Last Autobot shields his head with his massive hands as rubble flies around him. He jumps off of the elevated area he was seated at and lands with an earthshaking thud as he lands next to Jazz and pulls out his machine gun and begins to fire controlled bursts at the target.
